In May 2022, following the Shanghai lockdown, Beijing started a large-scale nucleic acid investigation. Public transportation was suspended, entertainment venues were all closed, catering was prohibited from dine-in, and people started working from home. People were forced to stay at home and reduce interflow, and Beijing became empty and quiet abnormally. Under the epidemic policy, people's lifestyles are also quietly changing. The concept of outdoor camping is being redefined, the boundaries of urban space and the wild environment are blurred, and people chose to take "neighboring camps" around. This seemingly irrational behavior became a reasonable phenomenon in such a special time. Every corner of this city has become a new "outdoor wilderness" in a sense. I successively "camp" around the five districts of Xicheng, Dongcheng, Chaoyang, Fengtai, and Haidian within the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing, and put myself in, to display the forced changes caused by such an overall situation.
