1000 meters is a relatively short distance. It just takes 5 minutes by bike, or 15 minutes by walk. I am living in Picai Hutong in Xicheng District of Beijing. From 2004 to 2020, Xicheng District is known as one of the " functional core of capital ". Therefore the area of my apartment is the "core of the core".
During the epidemic period in this spring, I have to stay home like everyone, except going out for necessary supplies. Occasionally I just walk around my apartment, however due to strict community management measure, and checkpoints were set up in communities and Hutongs nearby, so the range of my activity was reduced to a small scale less than 1000 meters, with my home as the center.

今年春天疫情期间，我和其他人一样，除了下楼购买生活物资，基本不出家门。当然偶尔会在家的周围走动，但由于出行管控变得越来越严格，周边小区胡同设置关卡，我的活动范围也因此缩小到以家作为圆心，不到1000米的一个狭小活动区域。
这组片子记录下了疫情期间不一样的西城区金融街。
