As I gradually learned about this historical path, known as the epitome of American culture, in literature and film, I decided to walk U.S Route 66 myself.
In April 2013, I spent a month traveling westward across the United States from the east coast, re-traveling the abandoned road, and photographing what I saw along the way. This group of works describes the bizarre landscapes of the towns around Route 66 today, and the people are still chasing dreams along the way.
