It is estimated that there are more than 3,000 abandoned houses in Iceland. That is a considerable number for a country with a population of only 360,000. Icelanders call these abandoned buildings as "eyðibýli".
I took pictures of those lonely houses I saw while traveling around Iceland and exploring the western fjords.
